The Mariposa School of Dance has formed a partnership with the Shorkey Center to provide a special needs dance program in Beaumont, TX.  Miracles in Motion classes are instructed by Mrs. Mallory Haynes; a licensed physical therapy assistant, Rhythm Works Integrative Dance trained dance instructor that has also trained in dance for two decades. All students have the opportunity to perform in the annual spring recital, and  may also choose additional performance opportunities as part of the Mariposa Monarchs competitive dance team.

We believe all children should have access to dance to use their bodies and minds in healthy and expressive ways. The benefits of dance for the mind and body are numerous and include stress relief, increased physical fitness, gross motor skills development, improved confidence and self esteem, and the encouraged creativity and imagination just to name a few.
